Privacy Policy

glocal.cat (referred to here as "we" or "this site") is a static content directory. This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit.

What we collect directly

This site does not run user accounts or advertising cookies, and does not collect personal information from visitors through any form (vendor subscriptions, below, are the one exception). If you email us at hello@glocal.cat, we hold that correspondence only to respond to you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which product and "claim this place" links are clicked. With your consent, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as your IP address (which Google truncates), browser and device type, and the pages you view. We use it only in aggregate, never to identify you, and don't use it for advertising. Google's own privacy policy applies to that data; analytics cookies are only set if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. Change your cookie choice at any time.

Outbound links to Amazon

Product links on this site lead to Amazon.com. Once you click through, Amazon's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply to that visit — including any cookies used to track affiliate referrals, as described in our Affiliate Disclosure. We do not see or receive any personal data from your activity on Amazon's site.

Vendor subscriptions (makers and shops only)

If you subscribe to a place listing through our For makers page, checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email, billing details and card; we receive your name, email, the place you chose and your subscription status, never your full card number. We use them only to run your listing and your subscription, and keep them for as long as you subscribe plus what tax law requires. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what it does with your data. Visitors who don't subscribe are not affected.

Hosting

Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operational purposes. This is standard server behaviour, not something this site configures or accesses directly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we later add analytics or accounts — we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
